The incumbent should be able to:
•Lead the development of solution architectures in specific business, infrastructure or functional areas.
•Ensure that appropriate tools and methods are available, understood and employed in architecture development.
•Within a change programme, lead the preparation of technical plans and, in liaison with business assurance and project staff, ensures that appropriate technical resources are made available.
•Provide advice on technical aspects of solution development and integration (including requests for changes, deviations from specifications, etc.) and ensures that relevant technical strategies, policies, standards and practices (including security) are applied correctly.
•Prepare business cases which define potential benefits, options for achieving these benefits through development of new or changed processes, and associated business risks.
•Plan and drive scoping, requirements definition and prioritisation activities for large, complex initiatives.
•Ensure changes to requirements are investigated and managed.
•Contribute to the development of organisational methods and standards.
- Bachelors Degree in Computer Science or Bsc IT
- 10 - 15 years experience as a professional of which 5 years was as Solutions Architect
- A minimum of 3 - 5 Years experience as a software developer/Engineer
- Exposure and experience working on cloud technologies
- Experience working in Telecommunications, Banking or Insurance preferable
- A minimum of one of the following certifications:
AWS Certified Solutions Architect Professional
AWS Certified Cloud Practitioner
AWS Certified Solutions Architect Associate
- Developing Microsoft Azure Solution
- Implementing Microsoft Azure Infrastructure Solutions
- Architecting Microsoft Azure Solutions
